3D Printing with Recycled Building Material
The raw materials that are currently used in 3D printing in construction need to be replaced by materials with a lower carbon footprint. Among the materials with high potential for this application, the presented geopolymer-based 3D printing is a good candidate to fulfil the required criteria in terms of performance and embodied energy as it can be built from waste materials such as slag, fly ash or glass waste as aluminosilicate sources.
